This crochet Brazilian bikini bottom is really quick and easy to crochet. The design is very simple. It is made with double crochets, single crochets, slip stitches, and chain stitches. This is definitely a beginner friendly project! The crochet keyhole halter top to match is also a beginner friendly crochet project. You can find the tutorial for the matching crochet keyhole halter top here.
The coverage of this crochet bikini bottom is very minimal and Brazilian cut. It is designed to match this crochet keyhole bikini top to make a very fun bikini set! Turquoise is one of my favorite colors and I think it looks very good with three rows of single crochet black and white trim. I also love the racerback tie.
I designed this a few years ago, so I didn't write the crochet pattern or offer as many sizes as normal. I did not know how to write back then. I was kind of just winging it. My sizes were a little different back then too. Maybe I will go back and create my sizing one of these days. But really, the video tutorial is showing smaller sizes.
To make your crochet bikini bottom bigger, you could add more chains in the foundation chain so that it is wider and continue the increases to make it longer. You would have to use gauge to figure that out. But it's definitely something that could be done. I really used to crochet low rise bikinis back then. So you would just have to figure out how long you want it to be.
I designed this set for my sister's friend. She absolutely adored her crochet bikini. We did a photoshoot back then. It looked really good on her.
I really like that the top fit so well. This actually became a semi-popular request from my crochet customers! I even was able to sell this crochet bikini several times. One customer wanted me to make matching crochet shorts and those came out very nice.
She chose lavender with royal purple and with trim. I think this is a very nice color combo as well. She rush ordered this for a vacation that summer. We actually met at a Starbucks for her to try it on because it was so last minute. I crocheted all day and night until it was finished. This crochet set looked really good on her as well. She was a bit more petite and it could have been slightly tighter, but this wasn't bad for a rush job. It was such a relief that it all worked out, and we have another happy crochet customer!
I did not write the crochet pattern to these shorts. But I did make a similar crochet shorts tutorial that you can watch and try.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this crochet Brazilian bikini bottom tutorial!
