Crochet Stitch Pattern # 8
Here is a lovely crochet stitch pattern that is beginner friendly! This pattern features staggered shells and is a 4-row repeating pattern. It is a beautiful basic stitch pattern that can be used for a variety of projects, so I hope you enjoy!
This pattern uses double crochet, single crochet and chain stitches. An intermediate beginner should be able to achieve this stitch pattern. It is an open lace featuring shells and V stitches which are both composed of double crochets and chain stitches, so they are both very easy crochet stitches.
Foundation: Multiples of 10 + 2
Row 1: Dc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch 4, sk 4, V stitch (dc + ch 4 + dc in the same sp), ch 4, sk 4, dc*, repeat * across.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, dc, ch 2, *sc in ch 4 sp, shell (3 dc + ch 2 + 3 dc in same sp) in V stitch, sc in ch 4 sp, ch 4*, repeat * until last ch sp has sc, ch 2, dc in last st.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, dc, ch 2, dc in ch 2 sp, *ch 4, dc in shell, ch 4, V stitch in ch4 sp*, repeat * until last shell has dc, ch 4, dc in ch 2 sp, ch 2, dc in last st.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, 4 dc in ch 2 sp, *sc in ch 4 sp, ch 4, sc in ch 4 sp, shell in V stitch*, repeat * until last ch 2 sp, 4 dc in ch 2 sp.
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, dc, *ch 4, V stitch in ch4 sp, ch 4, dc in shell *, repeat * until last ch4 sp has V stitch, ch 4, dc in last st.
